Don’t use the Controller hierarchy as shown, it’s deprecated in Spring 3.0 and it will be removed in short. Use annotation based controllers instead.

Well, I wouldn’t recommend the use of this Controller Hierarchy since it will get depprecated in Spring 3.0. Use the annotation based controllers instead http://static.springframework.org/spring/docs/2.5.x/reference/new-in-2.html#new-in-2-web-annotations
